540 songs and hymns! Since the release of Volume 2 in 1998, there has been a continued outpouring of wonderful worship songs from gifted writers around the world. Volume 3 brings the best of these into one unique collection, together with a number of classic hymns and songs not previously featured in the Songs of Fellowship series.
The book is in a long-lasting hardback edition, featuring piano arrangement with guitar chords (and, where appropriate, alternative capo chords) in the established Songs of Fellowship style now followed by many other songbooks. A comprehensive series of indexes is also included in the back, including Theme, Scripture, Tune and Key. Songs are ordered alphabetically by first line, and numbered51 to90, to follow on sequentially from the two previous editions.
Also available in the back of the book is a CD-Rom, which contains the words for all 540 songs and hymns in volume 3. This is useful for creating acetates, cutting and pasting songs into a customised songbook, weekly service sheet or song projection software.* You can also use it to search for specific words or phrases, when looking for songs or hymns on a particular subject.
Simple to use on your computer, the CD-Rom will operate within your existing word processing package, and is suitable for PC or Mac.
* All reproduction of words by printing, projection or creation of acetates is permitted by law only to those individuals or churches holding a current CCLI licence. See www.ccli.com for further details.
Songs of Fellowship - the history
Songs of Fellowship has been at the heart of worship renewal since the 1970s. As the first major 'charismatic songbook', it drew together the music from those early days and made it available to the wider church, thus helping to facilitate further blessing and renewal across the nation. Indeed, many of the songs first introduced by Songs of Fellowship are now modern classics - Be still for the presence of the Lord and Abba Father, for example.
Since then Songs of Fellowship has sought to keep in step with the new things God has been doing through worship. It has helped a new generation of songwriters to emerge, while at the same time recognising the value, anointing and continuing relevance of the historic hymns; and it has worked to assimilate the two, for the blessing of believers of all generations.
This latest edition is just one more step in the process of equipping churches everywhere to worship in spirit and in truth, using the God-given resources of congregational songs and songwriters.
