“If at first you don’t succeed try, try, and try again” is familiar to us all, but not always easy to follow. I often find that if what I am doing is too hard, then I’m going about it the wrong way. Miss Holt, one of my old school teachers, regularly said “There’s no hard and fast rule about this, girls” and that has stood me in good stead for many years now. Things can vary! In the words of our old School Song: Travel, travel the Pilgrim Way, Travel by night, travel by day. Who goes there on the Pilgrim Way? A goodly company. Down the valley the pilgrims go. Up the hills where the fierce winds blow. Hope goes with them, ever kind. And patience with a quiet mind. “I will lead them in paths that they have not known, I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.” Isaiah 42. verse 16. Happy traveling in 2011! by Mary Withnall
