We are getting closer to the coming of the Christ .. Here Isaiah again speaks of the coming Christ. Isaiah 9: 6-7 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! Isaiah 22:22: And the key of the house of David I will lay upon his shoulder; he shall open and no one shall shut, he shall shut and no one shall open. Two scriptures so joined together .. the Key to the House of David and the government on his shoulders. The key to the house of David is the government, a thing of judgement. This is vital as the only other time the Key of the House of David is mentioned is in Revelation Passage Revelation 3:7: Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open. The key of the house of David, possessed by Jesus, clearly opens an important door near the end of time, shortly before His second coming, during the period of time described as the Philadelphian church, which is then followed by the Laodicean church, when the churches are judged, just before the rider on the white horse comes; recognised to be the Christ. In the travelling through the Tabernacle of Moses, there was a veil between the two apartments, this veil was torn into when Christ died on the cross. In the temple of Solomon there was a door between the apartments. It was symbolically opened in heaven in Revelation, in the heavenly Tabernacle. It is opened with the key of David or by the key of David, it is opened by the Christ. The second apartment or beyond the veil could only be entered on the day of Atonement and holy by the high priest; it contained the ark of the covenant and the tablets of the Torah or the ten commandments – the ark of Judgement. In effect the priest was judged on entering as to whether he was pure enough to speak with or to God. It was the holiest place where God was, separated from man. This is the door opened when Christ died and rose again. A journey that was started at Christmas. The door that no-one can shut is the door to heaven; the door to a oneness with the Lord and a closeness as Jesus had and others before him, right back to Abraham and Moses. The rule of jesse, the door to forgiveness of sins and eternal life with the Lord. Once it is open, salvation is assured, once it is closed the opposite applies. The names of God used in Isaiah are Avi-’ad “Everlasting or Eternal Father,” Sar Shalom “Prince of Peace” Peleh Yo’etz “Wonderful, Counselor” El Gibbor. “The Mighty God” These separate parts of Yahweh, all individually named and recognised, were all manifest in the Christ. As in interesting aside there are over 100 descriptive names of the different parts of God’s character in the bible. Anyway there we go .. another heavy one i loved it – hope u did too and saw all the connections. More tomorrow...
