Just pick up one or two and start whacking! They have a sweet spot - for the best tone - a few inches from the end of the tube.

Whack almost anything, like a table, a chair, the floor, your thigh or hand, the side of you shoe.....whatever!

Different surfaces produce different timbre (sounds), but always the same pitch.

Whack a Boomwhacker tube in one hand with something in the other such as a pencil, a stick etc.

Whack two Boomwhackers together and -BOOM- you have a chord.Or put two in oune hand and whack away.

Play along with other instruments, Boomwhackers are always intune.

Raise the volume by whacking them with more or less force.

Whack hard surfaces, such as a table or a chair then cover the surface with a towel or two and see how the tone changes.


Partially cover the end of the tube with your hand and see what happens. Or use a pack of octavators to lower the tone by a complete octave (8 notes).
