What are Boomwhackers?

Created by Whacky Music in America the tubes are perfectly tuned to different musical notes which are clearly marked on their labels.

Rhythm is the key to having the most fun with your boomwhacker tubes.

Everyone has rhythm - it's in the beating of our heart, your breath, your movement. You cannot walk without rhythm.

If keeping a rhythm is new to you, try playing along with your favourite songs and follow the beat. Become aware of the changes in tempo (speed) of the music.

Move your body to the rhythm. Walk, tap your foot, count the beats out loud. Connect to the rhythm.

Start with simple rhythms.

A basic four beat

one - two - three - four .... (repeat)

now emphasis the first beat

ONE - two - three - four ....(repeat)

Next try the beats in-between, the off beats or the 'and' Use two hands, one on each knee. The both take the number and the left takes the (and).

ONE (and) two (and) three (and) four (and)....(repeat)
