Ashton's Music Corner is to celebrate its first birthday with, what else, but a musical extravaganza.

Owner John Caton-Greasley, has invited more than a dozen musicians to his anniversary at Ashton's Masonic hall from noon until 4pm on Sunday July 1st 2000.

All proceeds are to goto Willow Wood hospice.

John, who will compare the afternoon, said "The Music Corner at Ashton Market Hall has been inbusiness for a year, althought our compnay has been selling sheet music for a lot longer than that. We thought it would be a good idea to invite some of our customers, the majority of whom are singers or musicians, to help us celebrate."
"At the same time we are planning an auction of music related items, face painting, raffles with freestyle jamming and assorted side shows."
