Salford singing star Russell Watson wowed the crowds at a special concert on Sunday - or so it seemed.

Look-a-like and sound-a-like Andrew Stringer is such a convincing carboncopyof Russell Watson, he was recently mobbed in Ashton town center by fans of the opera singer.

And he kept up his impressive act at an Ashton music shop's anniversary extravaganza at Ashton Masonic Hall.

The event was to celebrate the Ashton Music Corner's first anniversary. the shop, which sells instruments and all kinds of musical goodies in the indoor market, decided to give all proceeds from the event to Willow Wood hospice.
Dukinfields own Crossroads and Last of the Summer Wine favourtie Kathy Staff opened the concert.
