A music shop is raffling a guitar signed by the stars of a top Manchester radio station.
The Music Corner in Ashton Indoor Market donated the acoustic guitar to Galaxy 102FMwhen they heard about a charity challenge.
DJ Nicksy was appealing for a guiatr on his breakfast show to send side kick Irish Alan busking round the streets of Manchester for charity.
So Music Corner's owner John Caton-Greasley offered them a red western steel string worth £75.00
he said "I was listening inthe shower when they were asking if there was anyone with a guitar and I thought itwas an opportunity not tobe missed"
"When they borrowed it I asked of they could get all the DJ's to sign it and now we are selling raffle tickets to give it away"
All the proceeds from the Music Corner's raffle will go to Willow Wood Hospice.
"It is a double helping for charity" John said "If we cn rasie money for this cause by raffling this guitar then it is worth it, even if it just covers the cost of the guitar"
The Music Corner began raising money for Willow Wood hospice when they opened on July 1st 2000
Last year staff raised £1,800.00 at events, including dressing in period costume of classical composer George Gershwin and playing his music on the forecourt.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for the next two months.
