Before and After - the original Bachmann truck is at the rear, part painted, with the extra 'swing motion' pieces of wood fitted. In front is the much modified version in all its glory!

A close up view of the truck sides with the end extensions, new centre detail, extra pieces on the axleboxes, and the swing motion bits fitted.

Sides re-fitted, with the assembled brake shoes, and a couple of brakeshoes on a brake beam.

Ready for painting! Note the fixing for the upper cross strap(s) on this 'coupler end' The coupler can be removed if required without disturbing anything; it's a bit tight but is possible.

A very 'close-up' upside down view of the same end, showing the lower strap that ensures that the two brake beams are held still; this strap can be pushed aside slightly to gain access to the centre fixing screw.
The extra bit of packing is due to me being to quick in removing plastic! Just the painting and (lots of) weathering - the trucks were quite filthy!
Note the wheels are already painted, they will not be easy to remove with everything complete.
