I have been building a Western American style shop for my garden Railway.
This was stated as a result of a 'challenge' in the MyLargescale.com website.
It is still being built but the main walls are painted and assembled,
and it is a bit big! The size is 18" x 12 " x 17" high. The roof needs
to be started and then have the tiles, which are intended to be cedar
shingles added, plus a chimmney or two. I have taken some photo's and
three are used in this short article.

Each picture can be clicked
for a larger image in a new window.
The building is mainly from solid .055 PVC sheet that has come from the
centre of plastic front doors. It could also be made from the thicker
(.060) sheets of plasticard, which is what I have used for the trim and
detail work. The 'glass' is cut from the clear styrene covers of CD Jewel
case that can be bought from the 'Under a pound' shop, in a packet of
10. This clear sheet is 1mm thick and is very useful, it is (just!) large
enough to make the large front windows of the shop. As part of the roof
the upper trim around the false front will be finished, with a wide horizontal
top, and then all this upper trim will be painted dark green. There is
a large amount of internal stiffening added to jeep the building square,
and I will add to this and also include some 'light blocks' to stop looking
right through the building.
