Under duress I made these Tissue Paper Butterflies and they turned out very successful.

We added a bit of curling ribbon on the end from some birthday flowers and fixed them onto a toilet roll tube.

Using to longish pieces of garden twine the girls zoomed butterflies up and down for ages by alternately pulling the two pieces of twine apart.

It took some doing but in the end they had the knack of it.
