More from our Native American project.
These dreamcatchers are made from margarine tubs with holes at regular intervals on the rim.
The centre was then cut out and my children made the web effect adding beads at will, we used a large hole darning needle and large holed beads.
We made the tassles by wrapping a quanity of wool around Daddy's hand untill we were happy with the amount . Then he pulled four fingers back leaving one holding the top loop. The kids then tied holder around it to make a loop.
This was hung from the holes at 9.00, 6.00 and 3.00 o'clock (as near as anyway). then beads, shells and feathers were added as they decided fit.
"The holes in the shells were quite hard to make" quote Grandad.
All in all great fun to make and the kids have hung them in the window.
