The name Ichthus comes from the Greek IXOYE which is an acronym for Iesous Christos, Theou Yios, Soter. Translated from the Greek IXOYE means "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour".

Hi, this is my little site, you will find so much more on here than just music as it is my shop and my hobby, therefore it includes lots of things I enjoy.

If you don’t have one I suggest a cup of tea or coffee there is lots in the shop to buy and lots on the news desk for free. I have this crazy notion that its nice to have something for free during the day – a smile, if free, for one - so there is all sorts on the news desk that makes you smile its been worth it. Even better if it’s a free resource with which you can pass on the smile.

I set this site up and control the content; but my host is the brains behind it, basically I decide what goes on and what stays off. I maintain all web based activity.

God, Family and Church

I have been a Christian for most of my life. I am 'Pentecostal' at heart but have been to many styles of church. All things spiritual play a big part in my life in many ways. Above all I believe it is important to be truthful (OK tell the truth), to have honour and to give a little happiness along the way. In the end what you send out comes back to you three times multiplied so be careful. My mother often said Is it true, Is it kind and Is it necessary? I find this is a good motto to use. Anything you say must agree with two of them. Recently I have started playing he flute at church which is fantastic.

I love sewing, craft, art, history, creative writing, Lego, church, politics, music, the performing arts and, of course, God, my husband (John), my kids and my business of which this web site may as well be my 4th child I spend the same amount of time on it. Lately creative writing has been very interesting to me many of my fan fics can be found in newsdesk.

Film and book wise I enjoy Harry Potter, my favourite characters are Lucius Malfoy (OK it’s mainly Jason Isaacs in anything) and Severus Snape. I suppose I am a bit of a HP Sleuth, I love finding the clues, red-herrings, roots of names etc., mythological roots of stories and guessing the plot to come. Book 7 was full of surprises and I thoroughly enjoyed it – except the last chapter – what was that 19 years later ! But it was interesting about Albus Severus Potter being ASP – a kind of snake.

I love looking at the moon, especially on a clear night. We had a great time studying space and it re-awakened an interest in the moon and the stars. During the day I love the clouds, one day I will study them in more details – but the shapes in the clouds are amazing, if you ever get a chance look up – it really does put everything in perspective.

Music wise I like all sorts from Glam and Traditional Rock to the complete spectrum of Classical and Soft Jazz and Mellow Soul.  My favourite tune of all times is 'She don't like the music to fast' by Walter Beasley, that just about sums me up. On the Classic side I enjoy the Classical Symphony by Prokofiev and General Lavine from the Debussy. My play lists on You Tube   are a little eccelctic to say the least.

I studied for the CT ABRSM at the Manchester centre , the link is to an article on it. After completing this programme is 2006 I started private piano lessons with Peter Noke. This was in 2006 and is the start of an adventure in piano performance, music theory and composition. Peter is a fantastic teacher.

Since taking piano lessons again I have found so much music that I enjoy playing I am splitting my time even more than it is already! I would recommend the Ginastera, Alberto - Rondo On Argentine Folk Tune to anyone who is post grade 7. It is most enjoyable to work on and to play.

I teach the piano with theory privately and recorders (all 6), glockenspiel, boom whackers, ukulele and theory at a Grafton House Private Preparatory School. I have played piano most of my life, in addition I play ocarinas, flute, guitar, alto sax, steel drum and percussion (not kit!).

I am rather biased with this site as I helped design it BUT Matt at Skep Solutions and Paul at Newton Design who did the most work coding it and making the store look so good, for which I am indebted.

Thanks for visiting, let me know how you find things. I hope you enjoy my site.
