ONE of the stallholders in Ashton’s Phoenix Market Hall is appealing for piano players to help raise money for Children in Need.
John Caton-Greasley from Music Corner will be staging a week long ‘Playathon’ from Friday 12 November until Friday 19 November, Children in Need day. He’s donated a digital piano worth £500 which will be auctioned for the charity. It costs £1 to make a bid and the latest highest bid will be displayed on the piano.
Anyone who can play the piano and can spare between 10 and 30 minutes during the week should contact John on 0161 830 0880 with their name, phone number and availability. It will cost £1 to play with all proceeds going to Children in Need.
And John hopes players will don Pudsey headscarves to strike the right chord for the ‘Playathon’.
